About Students build with Legos. Each week students build a different project and then use their computers to program it to do a specific task.

NEHS
About National Elementary Honor Society is a select group of students who excel academically and model exceptional responsibility can become members through a local selection process that concludes with induction into the school’s National Elementary Honor Society chapter. Members exhibit the 4 pillars of NEHS: scholarship, responsibility, service and leadership. NEHS is involved with philanthropic opportunities within the community through out the year. We have helped Supplies for GI's, Mommy's Haven, area nursing homes, letters to LaRibda Children's Hospital in Chicago, etc.

Math Bowl
About Math Bowl is an academic competition for students in grades 4 & 5. Students work together to solve challenging math problems to earn points for their team. Our team competes against teams from other schools in this area and across the state.

Students in grades 4 & 5 with strong math skills. We usually practice two times each week, once before school, and once after school.
Crazy 8s Math Club
About Crazy 8s is a math club where math meets mischief! We do hands-on games and activities to get kids fired up about learning math in a non-threatening, non-competitive environment.

Hoosier Spell Bowl
About Unlike the traditional oral spelling contest, teams use one representative per round to correctly spell the contest words. Winning teams are named based on the cumulative total of correctly spelled words of all members. Members study from 750 words to prepare for the eight word rounds.

Requirements/Dues
4th and 5th grade students are eligible to try out for the team. Tryout consists of a blind 25 word spelling test. Practice is two times a week. Normally Tuesday after school for an hour and Friday morning before school. Competition is one evening. Students must be able to attend the practices and the competition.
